About Worth Finding

Worth Finding is an independent commercial business operated as a general partnership by Adam Rankin and Gemma Kent. We are not a charity.

Contact: hello@worthfinding.co.uk
Correspondence address: 2 Timson Close, Castle Donington, DE74 2AL.

This is a correspondence address only. Collections must be arranged through the website. Please do not deliver or leave items at this address.

02

The pilot service

We currently offer free collection of suitable unwanted clothing, footwear and fashion accessories from addresses in Castle Donington. The service area, available dates and item categories may change as the pilot develops.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a collection. A collection is booked only when we confirm the date and time with you.

03

Items we may accept

Items should be clean, dry, reusable and safely bagged. Footwear must be kept in pairs. We do not knowingly accept wet, mouldy, heavily soiled, unsafe, counterfeit, stolen or prohibited items, general household waste, intimate garments, single shoes or badly damaged goods.

Final acceptance takes place at collection. We may inspect the bags and decline some or all items if they differ materially from the request, are unsuitable, unsafe, excessive in quantity or cannot reasonably be transported.

04

Your promises

By handing items to us, you confirm that:

  • you own them or have the owner’s clear authority to give them away;
  • no other person has a right or claim over them;
  • they are not stolen, counterfeit, recalled, dangerous or unlawful to possess or transfer; and
  • you have told us about any condition that could make collection unsafe.
05

Free handover and ownership

There is no collection fee, and we do not pay you for the items. You may change your mind at any point before the items are physically accepted and taken by us.

Once accepted items are handed over and taken by Worth Finding, ownership transfers to the partnership. We may sort, clean, repair, bundle, photograph, resell, donate, recycle or responsibly dispose of them at our discretion. You will not receive sale proceeds or other payment.

After ownership transfers, items cannot normally be returned because they may be mixed with other stock or processed promptly. Any items we decline remain your property and responsibility.

06

Collection arrangements

Please provide accurate contact and address details, ensure safe and reasonable access, and have the agreed bags ready during the confirmed time window. An adult should be present unless we have expressly agreed another safe handover method in writing.

Preferred times are requests rather than guarantees. Traffic, weather, safety or operational issues may require us to rearrange or cancel. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible if this happens.

07

Cancellations and changes

You can cancel or change a request before handover by replying to our email or contacting hello@worthfinding.co.uk. Please give as much notice as possible.

We may cancel or rearrange a collection if the information supplied is inaccurate, the address is outside the pilot area, access is unsafe, nobody is available for the agreed handover, or the items are unsuitable.

08

Responsibility and complaints

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility where the law does not allow it, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights.

We are not responsible for items left outside or unattended without a collection method expressly agreed by us, or for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. If something goes wrong, contact us promptly with your collection reference so we can investigate.

09

Privacy, changes and governing law

Our Privacy Notice explains how we use collection information. We may update these terms as the pilot changes; the terms displayed when you submit your request will apply to that request.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere.
